Recycling Drop Off

The Trash Company is committed to environmentally sound business practices and offers single stream recycling services at the Granby Transfer Station for Grand County. Single stream recycling means no sorting is required for glass, plastic, paper, aluminum and tin. Recycling is offered at the Granby Transfer Station.

Recycling not only lessens the impact on landfills, but reduces dependence on raw materials saving money and protecting the environment. And recycling makes a difference. Paper accounts for about a quarter of the material filling the nation’s landfills. The good news is more than 50 percent of paper used is recycled saving trees, energy and our rapidly-filling landfills. Many types of plastics are also highly recyclable. Plastics make up more than 10 percent of the country’s waste stream so recycling this valuable resource is more important than ever.

The Granby Transfer Station operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and the first Saturday of every month from 8 a.m. to noon.
